Skins from the Asiimov series are instantly recognizable due to their unique combination of orange, black, and yellow colors. The first of these appeared about ten years ago and quickly won the affection of players. Now the series includes five items, some of which can cost hundreds of dollars depending on their condition.
The creator of the Asiimov series is a talented skin designer known by the nickname Coridium. The series was named after the American science fiction writer Isaac Asimov. Coridium is a big fan of his work, and the futuristic design of the skins is definitely inspired by his writings. Another source of inspiration for these designs is the science fiction of Neill Blomkamp, known for his movie "District 9." Just look at the black and orange guns that appear in the film to see a definite resemblance.
M4A4 Asiimov

The first skin in this series was M4A4 Asiimov, which appeared in December 2013 as part of the Winter Offensive Weapon Case. Since its float can only range from 0.18 to 1.00, this skin doesn't come in "Factory New" or "Minimal Wear" conditions. Therefore, even with the minimal possible wear, the skin looks a bit worn. However, noticeable damages only become apparent on "Battle-Scarred" instances, so it doesn't much affect the impression that the item makes.
AWP Asiimov

Just a few months later, in February 2014, the second skin of the series appeared - the legendary AWP Asiimov. It was included in the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. This skin's wear level also ranges from 0.18 to 1.00. Interestingly, not only are the low float versions highly valued, but "Battle-Scarred" examples with a float value above 0.90 are also prized because their scope becomes entirely black, increasing the weapon's collectible value.
P90 Asiimov

In July 2014, the P90 Asiimov was added in the Operation Breakout Weapon Case. It was the first item in the collection available in "Factory New" condition, as its float ranges from 0.00 – 0.92. Therefore, it's available in all possible conditions and is quite affordable – without a kill counter, its cost does not exceed a few dozen dollars.
P250 Asiimov

In April 2016, the collection expanded with the P250 Asiimov from the Chroma 3 Case. Unlike other items in the series, it features more black and white in its color scheme – orange is present only as a few accents. Nevertheless, the style of the skin designer Coridium remains recognizable. On the side of the weapon, you can see two orange triangles that form the letters A and V, corresponding to the skin's name.
AK-47 Asiimov

Finally, at the end of 2018, the last item was added to the collection - the AK-47 Asiimov. Since the AK-47 remains one of the most popular weapons in CS2, it's not surprising that its price is higher than the previous ones – in "Minimal Wear" condition, it can cost about sixty dollars, and "Factory New" versions can exceed one hundred. The float for this skin is limited to 0.05 – 0.70, so it's available in all possible wear states.

Interestingly, this is not the only skin created by Coridium. The same designer also created the Tec-9 Isaac. It was initially named Asiimov as well but was renamed upon addition to the game because the color scheme of the gun differs significantly. Overall, Coridium's workshop includes dozens of skins in various styles. Several others have made it into the game, such as Five-SeveN Retrobution and FAMAS Valence, although they haven't gained as much fame as the Asiimov series. It is possible that more of his designs will appear in the game in the future.
If you want to not only collect the full Asiimov skin series but also complement it with style-matching gloves and a knife, you might consider several items. Knives from the Autotronic series look quite futuristic, and if you're lucky, you can find instances with the Fade finish, where orange predominates. As for gloves, Specialist Gloves Foundation and Moto Gloves POW! look best with black and orange skins. All these and many other skins you can find in the LIS-SKINS catalog at very attractive prices!
