Overnight on October 2, Valve shipped one of the biggest Counter-Strike 2 patches in months. The 6.5 GB update brought not only fresh community content but also long-awaited bug fixes, including the AWP scope issue that’s annoyed snipers since launch.
The community goes all-in on Armory

Valve is doubling down on user-created content. This time the devs added two large charm collections: Missing Link (23 charms) and Dr. Boom (22 charms) — all made by talented Workshop artists. They’re joined by sticker collections: Community Stickers 2025 with 29 new stickers and Sugarface 2 with nine signature-style stickers.
To make room, Gallery Case, Graphic Collection, and Character Craft were taken out of rotation. Farewell, old timers — make way for new faces.
Maps: goodbyes and new arrivals

Valve rotated the map pool, and this time there were no sentimental favorites. Jura, Grail, Dogtown, and Brewery were removed from all modes — looks like the brewery’s last call has been served.
Replacing them are:
Palacio and Golden — available in Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch.
Rooftop and Transit — exclusive to Wingman.
The community is already putting the new locales through their paces, and early feedback is promising.
AWP stops lying: the scope bug is fixed

One of the most talked-about changes is the fix for pixel offset in sniper scopes. If your reticle was wider than a single pixel, it could misreport aim. That’s now in the past. On top of that, Valve added in-scope inaccuracy visualization — you can now see how stable your shot really is.
Good news, snipers: you can’t blame the bugs for your whiffs anymore.
Charms come to life

A small but delightful touch: charms now bounce subtly in time with your footsteps. It gives loadouts a bit more personality. Minor detail, big vibes.
Other changes
C4 now counts deaths: if the bomb gets you, your death tally in the scoreboard goes up.
Zeus x27 was nerfed in Deathmatch — streak bonuses are capped.
Observer camera improvements: on some maps, transitions between players are smoother and more logical.
The observed player’s loadout now auto-closes after a match, and gloves show wear and pattern.
Minor skin tweaks for the MAC-10 and R8 Revolver.
Fixed a crash related to bullet impact effects.
What’s next?
Valve also removed the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 sticker capsules from sale and updated localization files. Judging by the pace, this won’t be the last major update this year.
The patch is live now. Clear 6.5 GB on your drive and jump in to try the new maps and the fixed AWP scope — the sniper life will never be quite the same.
