Aside from AK-47 skins, M4A1-S skins tend to be some of the most creative and expensive rifle skins, often featuring colorful illustrations or vibrant colorways. The M4A1-S Fade is an amazing, colorful rifle skin that is popular with the skin traders and regular players alike. The design of any Fade skin is highly recognizable, and the M4A1-S is no exception. The skin holds immense value due to its color scheme — featuring a gold, red, and purple gradient — especially when there is a substantial amount of purple on the upper receiver. Depending on the pattern, the price of the skin can change drastically. In our guide, we’ll provide the best and rarest M4A1-S Fade patterns in CS2.
Aside from the colorful design, there are also a few other key features unique to the M4A1-S Fade. This skin can be acquired in only two wear levels: Minimal Wear and Factory new, with float values ranging from 0 to 0.08. While most parts of the skin are painted, a few elements remain black, such as the buttstock, the pistol grip, the switches and the finned parts of the handguard. This particular Fade cannot be obtained in the Souvenir version and it can’t have a StatTrak kill counter. You cannot unbox this skin from a case either, but you can always buy one on LIS-SKINS.
M4A1-S Fade Pattern Tier List
While you can enjoy the visuals of pretty much any Fade M4A1-S if you happen to have one, there are certain patterns that are more desirable to the skin collector community. If the majority of the M4A1-S Fade skins have a small amount of purple shade (or none whatsoever), a select few patterns have a full spectrum of colors in abundance, including substantial amounts of purple. The anodized finish with shimmering gold, red and purple hues looks amazing when the purple section covers the upper receiver alongside the rear sight. Here are some of the patterns with the highest percentage of fade:
The Ultimate 100% Fade: Pattern 374
This is the Holy Grail of the M4A1-S Fade skin. Pattern 374 is the only pattern that boasts 100% gradient coverage. These are extremely rare and one of these was sold in 2024 for more than $2,000, which is a steep increase from the standard price of around $450.

Second Best Fade Patterns
These patterns feature a 99% gradient and are usually somewhat more attainable. You couldn’t really tell a difference between these patterns and the #374, without looking them up in the inventory. While these 10 are considered the second-best after the 100% Fade, there are tons of other 98-99% patterns worth considering.
