The Desert Eagle | Heat Treated is a unique and highly desirable pistol skin reminiscent of the "Case Hardened" skin family. Since its addition to the game, the popularity of the iridescent blue Deagle has grown precipitously, and its limited supply makes it both scarce and valuable.

The Heat Treated was added to CS2 as part of the Armory Update in October 2024, alongside over 60 other new skins. Unlike many other skins in that update, this skin features a rare pattern-based finish, only present in two skins, which instantly triggered a hunt for the ultimate version: the Blue Gem. This LIS-SKINS guide will walk you through the best and most popular Desert Eagle | Heat Treated patterns.

Heat Treated vs Case-Hardened

Many players and collectors compare this skin to the Case Hardened line due to their similar visuals. In real life, the process of strengthening a weapon via extreme heat is called “case hardening,” which often leaves parts of the weapon visually unchanged. However, the Heat Treated Deagle looks distinctly different; it reflects a higher degree of heat treatment, resulting in a greater percentage of discoloration throughout the entire structure.

Desert Eagle Heat Treated Patterns

The Desert Eagle | Heat Treated was available for a limited time and can no longer be acquired directly from the game. However, you can still purchase it on the Steam Market or third-party marketplaces like LIS-SKINS.

Don’t let the word “limited” scare you — several hundred thousand were crafted during the initial Armory Update, where players could trade 25 stars for a Heat Treated Desert Eagle of random quality and pattern nomination. If you're wondering if your specific pattern is valuable, here are the most desirable tiers:

Desert Eagle | Heat Treated Blue Gem

Heat Treated Blue Gem Pattern #1

Pattern Seed: 490

The Desert Eagle Heat Treated Blue Gem Pattern #1, also known as the pattern #490, is widely considered to be the best overall Heat Treated pattern in the game. This exact pattern has the most amount of blue covering the entire metal body of the skin. These are extremely rare, so you’ll have to search for quite some time and expect to pay an astronomically high price.

Heat Treated Blue Gem Pattern #2

Pattern Seed: 148, 69, 704

These Blue Gems are a bit more widespread, but still considerably more expensive than the regular Heat Treated skins. Visually, you could hardly tell the difference between these blue gems and the true blue gem #490, so make sure to grab one if you stumble upon it.

The CS2 community likes to call these patterns the Heat Treated Purple Gems, but some players tend to disagree (quite harshly). Nevertheless, if you want a fully purple Desert Eagle, then these patterns will serve you well.

Desert Eagle | Heat Treated Gold Patterns

Patterns: 103, 182, 74, 37, 87, 325, 124, 144, 102, 79

While this selection of Heat Treated patterns is called “Gold”, their appearance is more on a grey side with sparse gold outlines and accents. These patterns are available in abundance and cost dirt cheap, so there’s not too much to get in terms of investment value. However, if you like the appearance of these patterns, then it’s all that matters.
