Despite being a default pistol for T Side players, the Glock skins tend to be insanely creative due to its unique design. Many skin creators utilized the squared receiver of the pistol to express their creative muscles. The Glock’s unique shape makes it for a variety of skins with vibrant upper part of the gun, including the timeless classics such as the Candy Apple, Nuclear Garden and the Moonrise. The latter skin is one of the best cheap Glock skins you can get in CS2, and if you luck out on a rare pattern you might even end up with a solid investment.
The Glock-18 | Moonrise was added to CS:GO on February 14th, 2018, as part of The Clutch Collection during the "Welcome to the Clutch" update. The main attraction of this skin was the vibrant night time cityscape with a bright purple and violet sky and a full moon shining over it. Depending on the pattern seed number of the skin, the position of the moon can change. However, the most important part of the changing pattern is when the small star is aligned on top of the slide stop switch above the pistol grip. This guide covers everything you need to know about the Glock-18 Moonrise patterns.
The Glock-18 Moonrise Tier List
Although there are lots of very pretty patterns that feature the moon in different places on the gun’s receiver, the only ones that are really considered extremely valuable are the ones that feature a small star on the slide stop switch. This feature works in a way that the texture with the small star is wrapped around the pistol, but the slide stop lever is the only part below the receiver where the star can be visible. Thus, the Moonrise pattern tiers are centered around the placement of the star on the lever.
Center Star (Tier 1)
Patterns: 58, 59, 66, 90, 102, 224, 601, 628, 694, 706, 837, 864
The Tier 1 patterns are characterized by the distinct presence of the small star on the slide stop lever in a central or off-central position. These patterns tend to be more exclusive and expensive than the others.
Left Star (Tier 2)
Patterns: 19, 109, 142, 165, 194, 237, 302, 403, 475, 487, 509, 800, 958
The left star patterns also include the full star, but moved slightly to the left or near the edge. These patterns tend to be cheaper than the “center star” ones and easier to find on marketplaces.
Right Star (Tier 3)
Patterns: 31, 38, 95, 121, 281, 355, 385, 484, 617, 630, 667, 737, 913
The same exact story as with the previous tier, but this time the star is moved slightly to the right. The difference between the “right stars” and the lower tier 4 patterns is that the stars are fully visible within the borders of the slide stop lever.
Partially Covered Star (Tier 4)
Patterns: 137, 268, 448, 744, 769, 986
By far the most affordable category of the Moonrise patterns with a small star. These patterns tend to have a portion of the star visible on the slide stop lever, meaning that they can be partially covered.
